Terms of use
In effect as of October 19, 2026.
In short. Prices on this site are starting prices: only the written quote you accept is binding. A 30% deposit starts the project, and the balance is paid on delivery. You can also pay over 12 months, with a 10% surcharge. Once paid for, what was delivered belongs to you. You can cancel: you only pay for the work already done, and the rest is refunded.

1. Who we are
The site and services are offered by Studio Épure, a sole proprietorship operated by Timothé Chaigneau in Montréal (Quebec). See the legal notice.
- Quebec enterprise number (NEQ): 2282643743
- Email: contact@studioepure.com
Our services are intended for businesses and self-employed workers. If you are a consumer within the meaning of Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, or if another consumer protection law applies to you, the rights it grants you apply and take precedence over these terms.
2. Use of the site
By using this site, you accept these terms. You are free to browse it for your information. It is forbidden to try to disrupt how it works, to extract its content by automated means, or to use the form or the assistant to send unsolicited messages.
3. Content and examples
The information on this site is provided for guidance only. Prices shown as "from" correspond to the simplest version of each offer: the final price of your project is the one in the written quote.
The websites shown on the home page and on the Websites page (Eulalie, Ishida, Bertille, Pellerin, Montbriand, Hortense, Dufresne, Fabienne, Hauterive, Anselme, Verlaine, Aldéric, Marceau, Ravenel, Lisette, Ludovic, Achille & Fils, Anatole, Ambroise and Firmin), the Aurèle Terrain app (Aurèle), the Ambre 27 and Tison videos, and the names that appear in the diagrams and examples (companies, clients, invoices, quotes, conversations) are demo concepts. These shops, companies, brands and people are fictional; any resemblance to an existing business or person is coincidental. The demo websites work, but nothing you enter in them is sent. Their phone numbers belong to ranges reserved for fiction, and their email addresses, which are made up, are not clickable.
The photos in these examples and the illustration photos on the site were generated with artificial intelligence. A few photos on the example websites come from the StockSnap library, under a CC0 licence (public domain). The videos and simulations are concepts made by Studio Épure for demonstration purposes.
The site's AI assistant generates its answers automatically, for information only, and it can make mistakes. Only the written quote you accept is binding on Studio Épure.
4. Intellectual property
The text, layout, mockups and visuals of this site belong to Studio Épure, except for openly licensed elements: the typefaces (Montserrat, DM Serif Display and those of the example websites, SIL Open Font License, distributed by Fontsource), the Phosphor, Tabler and VS Code Icons icons (MIT License), the app logos from the Iconify Logos and Simple Icons sets (CC0 licence), and the Three.js and StPageFlip libraries (MIT License). You may not reproduce or reuse them without written permission. The names and logos of the software mentioned belong to their owners and do not imply any partnership.
5. Quotes and timelines
Every project starts with a written quote that sets out what is included, the price, the payment terms and the schedule. The project starts once you accept the quote and the deposit is received.
The timelines given assume you provide the requested content (text, photos, access to your tools) and your feedback on time. A delay on your side pushes the schedule back by the same amount. Any request beyond the quote gets an additional quote, which you are free to accept or not.
6. Payment
Unless the quote says otherwise:
- Builds (website, online store, app, AI implementation, automation, dashboard, content): 30% deposit when the quote is accepted, 70% balance on delivery or go-live.
- Payment over 12 months (optional, for any build): the quoted price plus 10%, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments, the first when the quote is accepted. The amount of each instalment and the total cost are stated in the quote. What was delivered belongs to you once the last instalment is paid.
- Monthly upkeep or support: no commitment, payable at the start of each month. What it includes is set out in the quote.
- Website maintenance: every website delivered by Studio Épure is hosted and maintained by us and includes Essential maintenance ($35 a month: hosting, security, backups, monitoring), charged automatically to your card. Small changes are billed at $30 each. Worry-free maintenance ($70 a month) adds one hour of changes a month and a monthly report. If a payment fails, you are notified and have 14 days to settle it; after that, the website is taken offline until payment.
Payments are made by card, through an invoice or a secure payment link provided by Stripe, or by bank transfer. Studio Épure never has access to your card number (see the privacy policy).
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Studio Épure is a small supplier that is not registered for GST and QST: neither tax is added to your invoices. If this changes, you will be told before any new quote, and taxes will only apply to quotes accepted after registration. Subscriptions to third-party tools (domain name, software, use of AI models) remain in your name and at your expense, unless the quote says otherwise. Website hosting is included in maintenance.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a project at any time, in writing. The principle: you pay for the work already done, nothing more.
- Before work begins: your deposit is refunded in full.
- During the project: the work done up to cancellation is billed according to the progress set out in the quote. If the deposit paid exceeds that amount, the difference is refunded. You receive everything already produced.
- Monthly upkeep or support: you can stop it at any time; it ends at the close of the current month, which is already paid. For a website, stopping maintenance means the website is taken offline on that date.
Refunds are made within 30 days of cancellation, using the original payment method or by bank transfer.
8. Ownership of deliverables
Once the price is paid in full, what was delivered belongs to you: content, layout, code, automations and dashboards. The domain name and tool accounts are in your name. You remain free to change providers; we then hand over the access and files you need.
For websites: the website stays online as long as maintenance is paid. The text, photos and logos you provided remain yours in all cases. If you want to host the website elsewhere, we hand over its files for a transfer fee of $300 if fewer than 12 months of maintenance have been paid, $100 after that.
Fonts, music and any stock images remain under their authors' licences, which allow this use; the licence is given to you on delivery.
Unless you object, Studio Épure may mention the project and show screenshots of it in its portfolio.
9. AI systems delivered
The AI tools we set up (reading documents, drafting quotes or replies, sorting requests, assistant) produce automatic results that may contain errors. They are designed so that someone in your business reviews and approves before anything is sent to a client or any important decision is made. You remain responsible for how these results are used and for the personal information you run through them; we help you inform your own clients when the law requires it.
10. Your commitments
You guarantee that the content and data you provide (text, photos, logo, trademarks, client files) belong to you or that you have the right to use them, and that the information published on your site (hours, prices, contact details) is accurate. You remain responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including for the personal information your tools and your site collect from your own customers.
11. Third-party services
Websites and automations run on third-party tools (hosting, AI models, booking, messaging, online store, payment, accounting, etc.). We choose them carefully, but we are not responsible for their outages or for changes to their terms or prices. Links to external sites are provided for your convenience; we do not control their content.
12. Liability
We deliver our services with care and to professional standards. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any damage related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. This limit does not apply in the case of intentional or gross fault, nor to bodily or moral injury.
We do not guarantee any search engine ranking, any number of customers, sales or bookings, or any specific time savings: the figures in the site's examples illustrate what is possible.
13. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, after an attempt to settle it amicably, subject to the mandatory rules that protect consumers.
These terms are written in French. If you are given a translation, such as this English version, the French version prevails.
We may change these terms; the date at the top of the page shows the version in effect. A project in progress remains governed by the terms accepted at the time of the quote.
